China's stocks close slightly higher on Thursday

Chinese stocks closed slightly higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 2.49 points, or 0.1 percent, to close at 2,397.55.

The Shenzhen Component Index edged up 9.43 points, or 0.1 percent, to finish at 9,966.74.
