Sanya-Chongqing-Urumqi airline launched

China Southern Airlines officially launched a non-stop flight from Sanya to Urumqi by way of Chongqing.

The flight spans a distance of 5,200 kilometers and the flight time is 6 hours, which is the longest distance and duration of any flight among domestic airlines.

The opening of the airline sets up an "air-bridge" connecting Sanya and 10 cities in Yunnan province and Tibetan plateau, 13 airports in Kasghar, Hetian in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and a transition port in Urumqi to central and western Asia, Russia and seven other international cities. The dream of "from seaside to plateau" is finally realized.
