China sells more steels to Russia via northern port

China exported 10,000 tonnes of rolled steel to Russia via Manzhouli, a major land port in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in the first two months of this year, an increase of 330 percent on the same period of last year, according to the local customs house.

The exports were valued at 10.89 million U.S. dollars, up 350 percent year on year.

The fast growth was attributable to warm demand in Russia triggered by a recovery of the country's auto industry.
