Shanghai To Pilot Foray Into Service Sector

SHANGHAI has been selected as a pilot city in the development of a modern service industry.

The Ministry of Finance will allocate an unspecified amount of money to spur service sectors, including finance, shipping, commerce, international trade and innovation in the city.

The city's government will spend the money supporting selected projects, especially those in the Pudong New Area, Hongqiao Business Park and areas along the Huangpu River.
