China's September trade surplus narrows by 12.4%

CHINA'S trade surplus in September fell 12.4 percent from the same month last year to US$14.51 billion, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) announced today. Exports and imports in the first nine months amounted to US$2.68 trillion, representing a 24.6-percent increase year-on-year. From January to September, trade surplus shrank 10.6 percent to US$107.1 billion compared to a year ago.
