China stocks close mixed on Tuesday

China's stocks ended mixed on Tuesday, after the country's Central Huijin purchased shares in four major state-owned banks on Monday.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.16 percent, or 3.73 points, to close at 2,348.52 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 1.04 percent, or 105.27 points, to close at 10,065.47.

China's Central Huijin Investment Ltd, an arm of China's sovereign wealth fund, told Xinhua on Monday that it had bought shares in four major state-owned banks on the secondary market.
